Welcome as a
Hardware Developer for Power Electronics
at AEconversion
As a hardware developer, you will work with us on innovative power electronics development projects, for example in the field of household energy management (combination of energy generation through photovoltaics, energy storage in a battery and the integration of electric vehicles through bidirectional charging). In other projects, we work with you to advance industrial power supplies and battery chargers, including in the context of industrial direct current grids (DC grid). As part of our development team, you can build on a strong team spirit, technical expertise and the working culture of a start-up with an established market position. Bei uns ĂĽbernimmst du ab Tag eins Verantwortung, wirst aber nie alleine gelassen. Durch Breite in den Aufgaben entwickelst du dich und uns kontinuierlich weiter.
Tasks of a hardware developer:
-
Requirement Analysis: You examine the customer's requirements for technical and economic feasibility and detail the specification together with the customer.
- Circuit Design: You design the circuits for the individual device specifications of the customer. Whenever possible, you leverage proven building blocks from previous developments.
-
Simulation: Using simulation tools, you verify the behavior of the developed circuits, and optimize them.
-
Component Selection: You select electronic components suitable for the requirements and dimension magnetic components.
- PCB Design: You create the layout of the circuit board, taking into account electromagnetic compatibility, thermal design in consultation with the designers, as well as manufacturability with our manufacturing partners.
-
Prototype Construction and Testing: You put the prototypes built by us into operation, test them against the specifications, and debug the circuits.
-
Safety Testing and Certification: Your task is to meet necessary safety standards and regulations and obtain required certifications.
-
Documentation: You create technical documentation that enables your interfaces to perform their tasks (e.g., procurement, manufacturing, quality, sales).
- Troubleshooting: After the tests, you address identified issues. Changes may also arise from alterations to the specification by the customer, findings in EMC tests, or feedback from certification organizations such as UL.
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams: You'll work with various experts at our company to create a technically sound device. This includes developers from other domains, designers for the housing and connectors, software developers for controls and external communication, as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
